, you know that I have developed a great fondess for kettlebells! I was introduced to these Russian imports through my friends at the NOAA Fitness Center20130803_165809

, where I trained at my former workplace. You could say it was love at first lift!
It started with the class and grew into my own home collection of bells. I read everything I could find about them online and in books

, incorporated my own regimens, worked with some kettlebell coaches, and now train with them nearly every day.

Kettlebells offer an incredible blend of strength training and cardiovascular conditioning, and they were my “gateway” into the larger world of weight lifting. They are a very effective tool for body recomposition, specifically for fat loss and muscular endurance training.

As a personal trainer, I am excited to offer an introduction to kettlebell training to my clients. Because I enjoy them so much for my own training, I will be pursuing a specialized kettlebell certifications this year, bringing that experience right back to share with my clients.
